Halloween Storytime

We’ve gotten several Halloween books from the library over the past few weeks, and there was one in particular that Jonah wanted Sean to read every night before bed. Yesterday, as I was getting ready for the day, Jonah followed me from room to room, sitting on the floor to read me this book (which he has memorized). So if any of you are in need of a Halloween read-aloud, here it is. Oh, and there’s a transcript below the video in case you need some help. :)

“Pumpkin has a scary face. The moon appears.
The bat is wide awake. The spider spins a spooky web.
We dress up like a rattly skeleton. We dress up like a witch’s cat.
We make a spell… bubble, bubble.
Knock, knock. Trick or treat. What’s in there? Treats to share.
What’s that noise? Rattle, rattle, BOO!”

    Oh Jonah,
We can’t believe you can read so good!!!! You read like you are a lst grader. I wish I could be with you soooo you could read me a story while I am holding you or sitting next to you. You have the cutest boy voice I have ever heard. Thankyou for the nice library time with you.
    Love you to pieces,
    Nanny & Granpy
