Carving the Pumpkin

Today we carved up one of the pumpkins from our pumpkin patch trip. Jonah had a good time scooping out the insides with a big spoon “just like a digger.”

He was even brave enough to try grabbing some out with his hands, which was a huge improvement over last year, when he pretty much wanted nothing to do with that part and just watched suspiciously.

Then he told me what shapes the eyes and nose should be, and that he wanted a mouth with teeth. He thought it was hilarious to pop out the pieces and then keep poking them back in the holes until they fell inside the pumpkin. “Are we playing a funny game with that pumpkin?”

“Did you just take off his cap and put it back on?” :)
