Today we carved up one of the pumpkins from our pumpkin patch trip. Jonah had a good time scooping out the insides with a big spoon “just like a digger.”
He was even brave enough to try grabbing some out with his hands, which was a huge improvement over last year, when he pretty much wanted nothing to do with that part and just watched suspiciously.
Then he told me what shapes the eyes and nose should be, and that he wanted a mouth with teeth. He thought it was hilarious to pop out the pieces and then keep poking them back in the holes until they fell inside the pumpkin. “Are we playing a funny game with that pumpkin?”
“Did you just take off his cap and put it back on?” :)
WOW !!!!! What fun you had carving out your pumpkin. You did such a good job, Jonah! That is the BEST pumpkin we ever saw! :)
OH, wait a minute—- our favorite lil’ pumpkin is YOU!!! Love you bunches!!! :)
Gosh Jonah, what a great pumpkin, you did this with mommy. It is the best pumpkin we have ever seen. I just bet all the pumpkins think it is the greatest pumpkin in the world. I hope he enjoys himself on Halloween and all your friends like him.
Love you,
Nanny and Granpy
