Little Author

Today while I was cleaning up from breakfast and getting Nora dressed, Jonah told me he was going to go write a book. I said, “OK. Good idea.” After a little while, he came running over and was VERY excited for me to come read the story. Even though he’s done bits of writing in the past, I was surprised at how much he had written. Apparently it’s pretty heavily based on a story that Sean made up at bedtime the night before, and he really wanted to turn it into a real book.

Here are the first two pages with translation.

“There once was a mom who used to make pies. Jonah and Dad… played baseball.”

Of course, he then had to draw a picture of a baseball field.  Can’t forget that!

“Jonah stopped swinging his bat because he smelled the pies… Jonah dropped his bat and…”

And that’s where it ended.  :)  But he did all of this on his own, and was extremely proud of his writing!  We are also pretty impressed.

Please give him a big kiss and hug for the wonderful job of reading and also for the story of Thomas the Train. We both are so proud of him and can’t believe how incrediable he is. He is definitely going to be in Hollywood as a writer or producer. Granpy says Sean can plan on an early retirement, and live off of his sons career!!!
