Regular website visitors may have noticed that the posts have been a little less frequent lately. Mainly this is due to the great new sewing machine that I got for my birthday a little over a month ago. I’ve been doing a lot of projects for the kids as I learn how to use it better, so as soon as they’re asleep, instead of uploading photos, I’m sewing stuff. :) I thought I’d post a bunch of the things I’ve made recently, and I keep adding more to my mental list of things to do…
A tag blanket for Nora, similar to the one I made for Jonah when he was a baby – he still sleeps with his every night.
An adjustable chef’s hat for Jonah
Pants for Nora – sadly, they’re a little too small and really only fit if she’s wearing disposable diapers.
A fleece diaper cover for Nora – fleece supposedly keeps wetness from leaking out. I don’t think it worked too great, but it looked cute.
Some fleece mittens with velcro straps and thumbs that are too tight. Oh well.
And some pretty awesome cloth baby shoes for Nora to wear around the house.
A finger puppet bat for Jonah to flap around
I’ve also done a few little crocheting projects, too. The owl hat, of course.
A pumpkin that Nora likes to point at and roll around.
A traffic cone?! Seriously, I don’t even remember how I stumbled on this one, but once I saw it, I knew Jonah would need at least one of them.
So that’s what I’ve been up to! :)
Love this stuff, Sarah! Next time I am in Savannah I’ll pick you up some fabric remnants from this cute little sewing shop I found the last time I was there. No doubt you’ll find plenty of things to make with them!
Endlessly impressed.
Sara, awesome!! You are making good use of your machine!
Sara, how clever!! I especially liked the “road cone” you made for our boy. After all he is a consruction trucker already, no?
Love, Grandad
