Cardboard Kids

One of Jonah’s birthday gifts came in a very large box. I had Jonah lie down on it while I traced around him so we could cut out a cardboard Jonah. (He actually remembered doing something similar with his buddy, Luke, last summer when I traced their chalk outlines on his driveway.  Jonah talked about how it tickled and how they made funny faces on the chalk guys.) Then he wanted me to try it with Nora, and she was actually the more cooperative one, probably because she’s not as ticklish. :)

Then we took them outside to paint. Nora even got in on the fun and did a bit of slapping/stabbing the paintbrush around for longer than I expected before she wanted to eat it. She really liked getting the paint on her hands, too.

Here’s Jonah with his finished guy. Both of the cardboard kids are now hanging in our hallway.

Hey Jonah and Nora, so much happening and so much to comment upon!
Love your cooking, Jonah, just like Dad. And the big Water Slide!
Wow, what fun. Also, Jonah, looks like you have some Engineering ideas what with your building in the sand. And Nora, sweetie, love pictures of you in the sand. And the pictures of you two with your Mom!! It is good to see you happy. Does the card board guy have a smile on his face? Love to you all.
