This morning we went for a little hike on a one mile loop trail down the road from our place. Jonah got to see his first deer, but was soon bounced off to sleep in the carrier. (And it wasn’t even naptime yet!)
He woke up back at the car and was delighted to look around and find that right in his view was…
… a SCHOOL BUS!!!
Then he played with some rocks in the parking area for a few whole minutes before even trying to put them in his mouth.
Since he took a little nap on the hike, we knew we’d have to tire him out all over again for his real nap, so we went up to the drillfield at Virginia Tech. It is a great place for him to roam – level ground, nice cushy grass, and almost nothing he can run into and hit his head on. He can really cover a lot of ground!
Ooohhh… wiggly shadow fingers!
Another song for Jonah —-
THE WHEELS ON THE BUS GO ROUND AND ROUND, ROUND AND ROUND, ROUND AND ROUND; THE WHEELS ON THE BUS GO ROUND AND ROUND, ALL OVER TOWN.
THE KIDS ON THE BUS GO UP AND DOWN, UP AND DOWN, UP AND DOWN, THE KIDS ON THE BUS GO UP AND DOWN, UP AND DOWN, ALL OVER TOWN.
THE DRIVER ON THE BUS BLOWS THE HORN, BLOWS THE HORN, BLOWS THE HORN, THE DRIVER ON THE BUS BLOW THE HORN ALL OVER TOWN.
(If you want to know more verses, ask Aunt Jeanne.)
Was that a “Woo Woo” hat you wore on your nike today?
Love,
