First Steps

Well, it really won’t be long now! Jonah’s started to gather up his courage and take several steps completely on his own. His favorite launching point is the edge of the couch where he will carefully gather his balance, let go, and take three or four steps towards one of his parents. Sometimes this looks very controlled, and other times it resembles more of a freefall. Jonah realizes that most of these efforts end in falling, so after the first step or so, he squints and scrunches up his face in preparation for the landing. It’s all pretty fun and exciting.

(These pictures are not all from a single walk attempt, but all together, it sure looks like something you could make a flip book out of.)

    Hi Dear Family,
I just had to comment on this one, all of the exciting things that this little man is doing are just wonderful. But first steps is one of the most important things that can happen to a little man and his Mom and Dad.
Remember one first step for mankind is just one more important wonderful thing for this entire family!!!! We both just loved it.
    Love you all,
    Nanny and Granpy
