Truck

While I looked at spring clothes for Jonah at our local store that sells nicely used kids’ clothes and toys, Sean entertained the little guy with this dump truck. Jonah had such a good time pushing it and watching it roll that we decided to take it home with us. (And since it had no price tag, they let us take it for free.) He’s been laughing a lot at this red squeaky dog, so putting it in the new truck was a good deal of fun.

Jonah is especially fascinated with the wheels. We’re noticing that he loves watching real cars, too, and always has his eye on them when we’re out walking around.

Jonah, when you’re a little older I think you and I need to head back up to PA sometime for Das Awkscht Fescht — the biggest car show you’ve ever seen. Wheels aplenty!

Have fun with your new vroom truck.

About 5:00 P.M. on Xmas eve approximately 42-43 years ago I went to a local toy store to get a “vroom” truck for Jonah’s daddy. We didn’t know exactly what a Vroom truck was, but we did know that the sound they made sounded like “vroom, vroom” becauswe he told us when he looked at a picture in a toy catalog. Up to that point there had been no clear requests to “Santa” for a special present. It turned out that the truck I got was also a dump truck not unlike Jonah’s. To this day, when ever we see a large construction dump truck, we refer to it as a “vroom” truck!!!
