This morning, Jonah had his first waterbaby class at the Blacksburg Rec Center. He was very excited when we got there – looking around the place in his bathing suit, watching the other kids.
Sean went in the water with Jonah (and, yes, I was the obnoxious mom taking a million pictures…) The water was a bit colder than anything Jonah’s been in before, so things started out a little like this:
After a while, he got more used to the temperature and the experience, and seemed to start to like it, at least a little bit (which is good, since he’s got seven more weeks of water fun coming his way).
Finally, here’s Jonah about three minutes after we got back in the car to go home. There’s nothing like pool air to make you sleepy!
Hey, Jonah! You’re a real chick magnet in that bathing suit! It takes a few minutes to get used to the water, but we see you ended up doing just fine. (Dad, too) and a BIG thanks to Mom for the pics. :)
Counting from the top, the pictures #5,6,7, and 8 of my grandson and my son are priceless, although the others are beautiful, too. Thanks, Sara; however, you are not an obnoxious Mom. Please don’t put my favorite daughter-in-law down. As a recent wag said, down is “bad,” up is “good.”
Those swimming trunks are about the cutest thing I’ve seen.
Hey Jonah! Jonathan and I love your bathing suit. :) When do surfing lessons start?
Great Grandma
