A Big Day for Jonah!!!

This morning, while Jonah was chewing on my finger, I thought, “Whoa! What the heck was that???!” Sure enough, our little guy has sprouted his first tooth!! It’s the lower left center one. And because he’s such a great little baby, he hadn’t even been extra fussy or anything to clue us in that it was coming (other than the drooling and chomping on everything in sight, but that’s been going on for months…).

We had already planned to give Jonah his first taste of solid food today anyway, so here are some pictures from that fun adventure. He had some mashed up bananas, and even though he doesn’t look like he’s enjoying it all that much, he kept opening his mouth for more and even tried to feed himself.

Ah yes, time does fly, first chomping and drool, then a tooth, and now solid food! But listen, Daddy, just because you are a teacher doesn’t mean you have to show him how. He will come along “allbyself,” as you used to say when you wanted to do something imdependently. Soon, you will need a “Catch-Your-Crumbs” He is such a beautiful baby. Don’t know how you did it, knowing your genes. Sara must have had something to do with it, right?

And thanks for the calls yesterday.

God job, Jonah! How would you like your steak cooked?

  3. Grandma and Grandpa says

Jonah, your Grandpa can teach you how to make many more bad banana faces, and to quote him: “That’s the tooth!”

    Hi Jonah,
Oh gosh, you are a big boy now. You have a tooth. Now you can have steak, corn on the cob, tootsie rolls, and most of all your very own tooth brush!!!!!
Good going little man. (Whoops) I mean big guy!!!.
Love to you and Mom and Dad,
    Nanny and Granpy
