While Jonah was at school, Nora and I got out the paints. It is so fun to watch her paint because she really doesn’t care at all if she gets stuff on her hands (or anywhere else). First we dipped some of her plastic blocks in the paint to use as stamps, and then got out the brushes. The paintbrush was definitely her favorite part, and she’s getting pretty good at the whole ‘dip it in the paint and then brush it on the paper’ routine.
Then while I was making dinner that night, Jonah was hard at work writing in a little notepad at his table. He had decided to make a list of things he loves, one per page. He had “Jonah loves trucks,” “Jonah loves trains,” and “Jonah loves dump trucks.” Of course.
Funny boy
Dearest Nora,
Grandad has printed the picture of you painting so I can keep it on my refrigerator. I just love looking at it.
Love,
Gran
