Reading Phanatic

While I cleaned up from breakfast yesterday, Jonah sat down on the couch and decided to have the Phillie Phanatic start reading him one of his Thomas books. So in case you ever wondered what the Phillie Phanatic’s reading voice sounds like, here it is. (This is also the same voice Jonah uses for any of the characters in his pretend play scenarios. I won’t reveal which parent modeled such a technique…) Anyway, you probably won’t understand most of what he’s reading, but that is hardly the point of the video. Enjoy! :)

Sara, while it may seem obvious, so few children read to themselves at his age. Jonah will require much “keeping up” from the rest of us. Knowing his father, I can suspect who developed that unique reading voice style. Please, don’t let pre-school slow him down as the group waits for the rest to catch up to him.
