Nora has started to like sitting up while holding on to our fingers. It’s much easier to watch what Jonah is up to from that position. This reminded me that it’s probably time to dig out the Bumbo for her to sit in, just like Jonah did when he was a little guy. She was pretty happy in it from the start and is content to spend quite a bit of time sitting in there. She’s also getting much better at holding her head steady and not wobbling around so much.
When I asked Jonah the other morning what he wanted to do that day he said, “Do you want Nora to sit in her Bumbo and you can play songs to her?” So that’s what we did.
Then he thought it was fun to drive a motorcycle around the edges of Nora’s seat.
Of course, with Nora making this seat look like so much fun, Jonah had to give it a try. Amazingly, he still kind of fits.
Then I thought Nora might enjoy having the tray on, so she could practice her new toy-grabbing skills. I started with two things, but Jonah didn’t think that was enough. He brought her every single thing he could find that looked like a baby toy.
“Does Nora say, ‘Whoa! That’s a lot of toys!'”
And here she is, playing on her mat.
What a set of beautiful pictures of the children. No’s five and six of Nora are especially cute. In the first she is smiling so wholesomely, and is the second, she is so nicely “flirty” cute.
Thanks for the photography, Sara.
