Jonah was a dump truck driver this year. Thanks to a surplus of cardboard boxes hanging around our house (and some red duct tape), I was able to make him a pretty cool dump truck costume that he likes to drive around in.
First stop was at our neighbor’s, where Jonah got his choice of candies (and was probably a bit confused by the whole deal). He was a little too shy to actually say ‘Trick or Treat’, but he did manage a ‘thank you’ at every house.
It’s a little slow-going to drive such a big truck, so we only hit about five houses in our block, but that was enough to get the fun of trick-or-treating. And when we got home, Jonah got to have his first peanut butter cup!
It’s hard to believe this is Jonah’s third Halloween already! So for fun today, I dressed him up in last year’s monkey costume, too. He thought it was pretty funny to ask me if a monkey says, ‘meow’.
But then the monkey had to break out the ukulele and ‘do some dips.’ :)

Wow, what a beautiful dump truck!!!!! You looked like a big boy construction worker with his own dump truck. I think you are going to own and work for a construction company, building houses, buildings and highways. I am glad you liked your Reesee candy bar, they are my favorites. Boy Mom what a great job on that dump truck, I think you should go into the business of making all kinds of fun things for children.
