The other day, Jonah was talking about a painting he had done on his easel. He was very excited, saying, “Jonah draw fire truck on easel! Yep!” Then he looked like he had just gotten an idea and ran off back down the hallway.

He returned with his ukulele and started singing “Monkey chased the easel. Monkey thought all was fun. Pop goes the easel!” Then he started laughing and said, “Jonah play easel song on ukulele! I like that song!” I had never heard him sing this song before, although it is on one of the CDs he listens to sometimes as he falls asleep. Apparently, he knows more lyrics than we think. :)

He started singing it again tonight when we got the easel out, and let me get a video (mainly because I told him he could watch it on the camera when he was done).
