Kite Festival

This weekend, there was a huge kite festival in Roanoke. Since it was also the most beautiful day of our spring so far, we spent several hours in the park there, watching kites and having a picnic lunch.

Jonah got to see some large costumed creatures roaming around.

And he got to decorate his very own Kroger kite.

It wasn’t the windiest day for the kites, but there were a few good breezes where a bunch of them got in the sky at once. Jonah really liked watching them and pointing out the different colors and shapes.

It must have been a beautiful day. Jonah is very fortunate to have exposures to so many things at his young age. Watching you two build your family is wonderful Thanks again for the pictures and for the sharing.

Hey, Jonah, Uncle Larry told me you are going to get a haircut. Isn’t that great? Now you and your dad can go to the Barber Shop together. Usually, Barber shops are places where men talk important “stuff” like baseball and hiking and fishing and “Kruks.”
Have fun and remember, even if they have “buzzing” clippers and scissors, Barbers are nice guys.

    Love,

    Grandad
