Guess what just opened up six blocks away from our house? A new spray play area at one of the town parks! :) It’s the kind that has all sorts of fountains and sprinklers shooting up out of the concrete for kids to run through and splash in. Today we packed up our lunches and walked over to check it out for the first time.
Nora loved it right away and was sticking her hands in and cracking up when it splashed her in the face.
Jonah walked around and watched for a while, but did not want to enter the water zone. So we went and ate our lunch. After we ate, he got brave enough to start sticking his fingers down where the water comes out, and he and Nora had fun with that for a little while.
Then a little braver…
Then, the next thing I knew, he was sticking his FACE in the fountain. This is the boy who hates any splash of water hitting his face in the bathtub, voluntarily and repeatedly putting his face in these sprayers. Too funny!
Can you tell he was having a good time?
I’m pretty sure this will be a frequent destination for the rest of the summer. :)
So fun! I love that Jonah got in there and had a blast. He’s braver than his aunt Lisa with the water in the face. The third picture from the bottom is great, as is the one of him running from the fountain.
That’s THE CUTEST YET!! By the looks on their faces, you’ll be spending a LOT of time there. Love it! :)
Arn’t these two the prettiest in the water?
So glad you have access to places like this in Eugene.
Love,
Grandad
