Basket and Blocks

This morning, Nora was sitting in the living room, playing with the laundry basket, so I sat her in it and had one of my Jonah-photo-flashbacks. (I think it’s because they were in the same pajamas.)

Here’s Nora…

And here was Jonah… :)

But unlike Jonah, Nora gets to have an older sibling come over to drum on the basket while she’s in it.

Also this morning, Jonah was making some buildings with blocks. I got out some different blocks for Nora so she wouldn’t eat his creations.

Jonah gave her a block when it rolled too far away from her. How nice!

And if you want, you can take a look back at Jonah playing with these blocks, too.

A puppet, a puzzle, and a Grandpa

While Grandma and Grandpa babysat, Jonah enjoyed playing with some of his new birthday toys.  He had his puppet birthday card singing along with his musical puzzle. E-I-E-I-O…

Indoor Pool

Jonah’s pool is still blown up in our place, and he likes to practice stepping in and out of it. Tonight, he had a good time trying to make his digger dump out baseballs into the pool.

Then a bunch of his stuffed friends joined him.

One of his favorite things to do – “Green dump truck dumped out a big pile of dominoes!! Yup!!!”

“Wow”

Digging

Jonah spent some time outside this afternoon, digging in his dirtbox.

“Whoa! Put big pile of dirt in green dump truck!”

img_1285.JPG

“Now time to dump out all the dirt.”

img_1288.JPG

“Cook eggs in dirt. Make breakfast in the dirt.” (He knows we use a whisk at breakfast time.)

“Big muddy puddle!”

“Jonah throw rock in muddy puddle. Make a big big splash! Wow!”

Grandma and Grandpa Visit

Jonah got to see his grandparents this weekend when they drove down from PA to see how much he’s grown since Christmas. It was really nice to see, for the first time really, that Jonah was willing to interact with them so quickly and easily (instead of the usual “More Dad. More Mom.”) He was talking up a storm, holding hands, telling jokes, playing games, and even giving hugs and kisses.

We all went out to dinner the first night, and Jonah enjoyed coloring his placemat.

Even though it was a pretty rainy weekend, we got outside for a walk on the trail.

Jonah’s pretty good at spotting ants.

Then we stopped by an event where they had a bunch of old cars. Jonah, of course, was very excited.

He got to pet some bunnies that people were trying to find a home for.

There were a lot of concerts.

Grandma had a good time driving cars on the road.

We played with playdough.

Grandma made a lot of peas for Jonah to plant in the holes.

Then Jonah painted a “Big Red Fire Truck!”

Everyone had a fun time and is already looking forward to the next visit!
